This was my first "Bedtime Beans" storytime, which was a monthly night storytime. We tried Bedtime beans from September to December, but it never really took off. I think the most kids I had at any program were 4. We cancelled the program after December, but we had some fun while it lasted.
Bedtime Beans was an all-ages, family storytime & I encouraged kids to come in their pajamas & bring stuffed friends as well. We usually didn't do a standard "craft" like I do with Storytime for Growin' Beans, but sometimes I had a crafty group project that we could all do together.
The first "theme" for Bedtime Beans was bedtime!
Books We Read:
The Interrupting Chicken by David Ezra Stein
One More Hug for Madison by Caroline Jayne Church
Tuck Me In by Dean Hacohen & Sherry Scharschmidt
Song We Sang:
Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star by Music for Little People Choir.
I had little paper stars that the kids could play with while we sang the song.

Can I just gush for a minute about how much I love The Interrupting Chicken? That's such a great book! I love David Ezra Stein, but this was the first book that I read from him.
Kids always love Tuck Me In! too. They love to name the animals & the interaction of tucking each one in on each page.
My favorite thing about Bedtime Beans was my "moon". I got a paper lantern & hung in it in the meeting room & pretended it was the moon.

At the end of each storytime, I turned out the lights & we listened to "Moon Moon Moon" by Laurie Berkner. It was always the perfect end to a "sleepy" storytime.
I brought a lot of stuffed animals from home & a few favorites from the chidlren's room would always make an appearance for Bedtime Beans.
It was nice while it lasted, but I can't say that I miss the program that much.
